Native Title
Our Mission
The Kaurareg Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (KNTAC) is the Prescribed Body Corporate (RNTBC) responsible for managing the native title rights and interests of the Kaurareg People. Acting as the legal representative body, KNTAC ensures that the Kaurareg People’s cultural, spiritual, and traditional connections to their land and sea Country are recognised and protected under Australian law. It manages native title determinations, negotiates agreements with government and industry, oversees compliance and governance, and supports sustainable land and sea management. KNTAC also advocates for the Kaurareg People’s rights, enabling them to exercise self-determination, maintain cultural practices, and secure economic, social, and environmental benefits from their native title lands and waters.
